How to Write Plays.com

I am playwright, stage director, actor, playwriting coach and the Artistic Director of Manhattan Repertory Theatre in New York City, which I co-founded in 2005 with Actor/Filmmaker/Partner in life, Jennifer Pierro.

I am also the host of The Playwriting Podcast which can be found on Apple Podcasts, and searched and discovered on any Podcatching Ap.

I like quiet walks on the beach. (LOL!)

I have written 20 plays. 19 produced here in NYC.

I have directed over 100 plays.

(Wow, does that make me old?)

And I just produced and directed my first OFF-Broadway Play!

And at Manhattan Rep from 2005 through 2022, Jen and I have produced over 1000 full-length plays and over 6000 short plays. (That is a lot of theatre!)

From March 2017 to October 2019, I directed 60 plays at Manhattan Rep as part of our Play Production Program. (Should that be in the Guiness Book of World Records, or what?)

Jen, Roma the Wonder Dog, and I live on 42nd St and we just signed another lease making it clear we are not giving up on NYC and the theatre here.

We are not leaving NYC.

Not in this lifetime!

I am also a Yogi in my other spare time.

For the past 5 years, I have been on a quest to walk tall in the face of all my made-up fears.

(You should try it. It’s actually kinda fun.)
